Ichiro Suzuki (Seattle OF)- Ichiro has been placed on the DL for fatigue and a bleeding ulcer. Ouch.
Travis Hafner (Cle DH)- Pronk has finally found his pop. With zero homeruns in his first 41 spring at-bats, he has hit 2 long balls in his last three games.
Andre Ether (LAD OF)- Ethier went yard and added a triple on Thursday. Big things expected from Andre this year.
Mark Teahen (KC OF)- It appears Teahen will start at 2B on opening day. He has been crushing the ball all spring and forced the move to have him in the lineup. It won't be everyday however at second as Willie Bloomquist will get plenty of time.
Chipper Jones (ATL 3B)- Chippy signed a 3 year extension worth a cool $42 million. Jones is inked through 2012 when he will be what, 58 years old?
Trevor Hoffman (Mil RP)- Hoffman is headed to the DL to start the season retroactive to March 27. Hoffman is suffering from a strained right oblique. There is no clear choice yet to fill the closer role for the Brewers to open the season.
Tim Lincecum (SF SP)- Tim struck out 8 in 5 and 2/3s of an inning and walked just one while giving up 3 runs. Lincecum came out firing in the first inning getting a weak ground ball to second and two swinging strikeouts that were not even close. Nasty.
